WSP is currently initiating a search for an **Archaeological Field Technician** for our **Albuquerque, New Mexico** office. Field duties would also extend into Texas. This position will be a temporary part-time position. Your Impact + Support public and private sector clients with archaeological resource surveys and testing. + Help with all aspects of fieldwork, monitoring, data collection, inventory, analyses, site form preparation, and report production to support the preparation of planning and/or NEPA studies. + Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units. + Conduct pre-field Class I records reviews. + Support the preparation of cultural resource and NEPA documents; and assist with production as necessary. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + A minimum of 3-5 years of experience. + Bachelors Degree in Archeology or Environmental Planning/Sciences + Demonstrated experience in archaeological resource studies in Texas and ability to meet THC permitting requirements for field crew. + Knowledge of public and private sector requirements and practices for cultural resources surveys. + Ability to travel out of the immediate area and to work outside of regular work hours if needed. + Ability to navigate and collect data using Trimble GPS equipment. + Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with ArcGIS + Working knowledge of ArcPad or TerraSync + Understanding of the NEPA process \#LI-MH4 **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
