Position Summary:  This position serves a vital function in support of the company’s clients, seniors and people with disabilities living independently in their homes, but who need assistance with daily tasks.

Essential Duties:

Assist family members in maintaining the client at homeProvide appropriate care and supervision to ensure the clients’ health and safety in the absence of family membersRelieve family from the constantly demanding responsibility of caring for the clientClient transfer - moderate assistAttend to the client’s basic self-help needs and other activities of daily living including, interaction, socialization, and continuation of usual daily routines that would ordinarily be performed by the family members.

Position Requirements & Competencies:

Must be 18 years of ageMust be able to pass a criminal background check Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is requiredNurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for othersAbility to work with limited supervision Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsGood communication and interpersonal skills
