Summary of Job Duties:The Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant will assist physician with clinic, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, care coordination of patients, work as an independent care provider within the clinic. answer in-basket, MyChart and patient questions and work in collaboration with the physician to facilitate patients assigned with MD. The APRN/PA will be responsible for managing care of outpatients, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. The APRN/PA must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.

Masters Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant Studies PLUS Three years of nursing experience
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License Acute Care Certification/PA Licensure

Responsibilities:
Coordinates specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults of patients to assure timely and appropriate treatment.
Provides comprehensive health assessments, determines diagnoses, implements treatment plans, prescribes medical treatments, and manages health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician.
Collaborates with a variety of health care professionals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems serving as a resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Manages post procedure immunosuppression and labs of patient in coordination with physician and pharmacist.
Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others.
Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
Edits and documents results in various critical care systems
Performs other duties as assigned.
