As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing high-performing, aesthetically pleasing web and mobile software solutions. These applications enable scalable, secure, and intuitive access to data for Covance’s global network of employees, partners, and clients. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to product innovation and working with both internal and external engineering teams to prototype and launch data-driven capabilities and services. **Key Focus Areas:** + Integration and analysis of preclinical, clinical, health outcomes, and social networking data to improve protocol design, clinical site selection, and patient enrollment. + Designing intuitive visual interfaces to enhance the efficiency and quality of clinical monitoring. + Developing advanced software systems and interfaces for clinical trial design and simulation. + Building integrated clinical trial dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. + Creating analytic tools and methodologies for resource forecasting and utilization. **Responsibilities:** + Design and develop tools and technologies for integrating, processing, and visualizing data at scale. + Write production-quality code and contribute your own ideas to development. + Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from product inception and prototyping to production release + Promote and implement agile development principles and best practices. + Collaborate with internal and external partners to transform business needs into practical and elegant system solutions. + Deliver scalable, high-quality data products that directly impact company performance. **Required Qualifications:** + 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development. + Proficiency in HTML5 and JavaScript application development. + Experience with open-source or commercial JS frameworks such as jQuery, Knockout, Backbone, Sencha, or Kendo. + Proficiency in .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC 4, and web service development. + Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including MS SQL, Oracle, Solr, MongoDB, or CouchDB. + Solid knowledge of SQL and LINQ. + Strong aesthetic sensibility and graphic design skills. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, or healthcare IT. **Application Window closes 5/23/2025** **Pay Range: $44,117 – $115,000** All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. **Benefits:** Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
