Weston & Sampson Services is seeking an Application Support Analyst with 1-3 years of experience to work with the Solutions team in our Reading office. The Analyst will be working with various Weston & Sampson teams such as Water, Wastewater, Storm Water, Environmental Geology, and Energy.
What you’ll do:
First line of support for one or more Software applications for internal and external users. Interact with users through troubleshooting issues, providing solutions, and documenting procedures.Perform software support tasks using Software, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Excel. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.Be the primary creator of documentation for support processes, Software features, and Software training.Analyze data using SQL and Excel, and report on data integrity and discrepancies.Run scheduled queries and dive deeper into the data to find causes using Structured Query Language (SQL). Fix, document, or escalate issues as needed.Test software pre releases by running specified software test cases. Use Software knowledge to create additional test cases. Execute Structured Query Language (SQL) queries as an integral component of testing. Provide detailed feedback to developers. Document your findings.What you will bring:
Four year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience1 year application support analyst experienceA minimum of 1 year SQL ExperienceExperience using ExcelExperience with a scripting language is a plusSolid knowledge of SQL and database concepts Specific experience with a relational Database, MySql preferredScripting skills in PHP, Python, or JavascriptWorking knowledge of LinuxExperience with cloud platforms (i.e., Amazon Web Services, Rackspace)Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to speak with clients internal and external.Technically inclined and the ability to search out answers when needed.Ability to be organized, share knowledge, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
