Job Summary

As a application technologist your role is to support and fuel the profitable growth of the IFF business in Dairy/beverage category by taking ownership of projects that demonstrate our flavours & the rest of portfolio in high quality commercially scalable applications.
To do so familiarity with wide IFF portfolio of ingredients is essential.

The role is also to support the commercial team by identifying customer needs and opportunities, establishing/building technical to technical relationships with customers.

Proven application and project planning ability.
Extended knowledge of ingredients, customer
bases, processes and flavor interactions. Participates in big
strategic and global account projects. Refined
problem-solving ability with confidence to liaise
directly with customers.

Solution Design

Independently selects and recommends appropriate solutions in compliance with client profile, legal, cost and stability requirements

Reviews, renews and renovates Flavor and Ingredient portfolios in line with established metrics

Establishes attribute language (Taste and Texture) knowledge and articulates with team and project members

Develops and improves finished product formulations using knowledge of industrial standards, country specific and client requirements

Maintains and continuously renovates specific recipe database

Establishes knowledge of recipe ingredients, raw materials and their functions, and fully understands the finished product production process

Proven time and project management skills

Partners with Production and Quality department to complete scale-up trials and support QA/QC with troubleshooting when necessary

Develops technical network within IFF to collaborate and expand knowledge of portfolio and solutions to finished products

Demonstrates excellent taste and texture, discrimination and articulation for ingredients, flavors and design of solutionsParticipates in Category initiatives and/or new concept generationDevelops applications to maximize performance and incorporates appropriate technologyProficient in IFF software, databases, and processesEstablishes creativity, innovation, and presentation skillsConfident in knowledge of IFF Innovation Programs for aligned categories

Customer Intimacy & Technical Partnership
