Application Support Engineer

Description We are in search of an Application Support Engineer to join our team in ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois. The main function of this role is to handle both Level 1 and Level 2 support issues within Salesforce CRM while also providing support to ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics AX. This role is well-suited for individuals with Salesforce administration experience who are keen to expand their skills in a technical support environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle support tickets accurately and efficiently.
• Address integration and optimization issues related to Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Maintain smooth operations of CRM and ERP systems.
• Support end-users with application usage and troubleshooting.
• Assist in onboarding and user management.
• Leverage tools like Jira for ERP and ServiceDesk by SolarWinds to resolve technical issues.
• Manage Salesforce legacy systems support and ticket resolution.
• Optimize data views for ERP systems.
• Uphold customer service standards by addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
• Demonstrable skills in Configuration Management are essential.
• The candidate should have excellent Customer Service skills to effectively address user issues and concerns.
• Experience in Salesforce Administration is a fundamental requirement for this role.
• Proficiency in using Dynamics Ax is a must.
• A proven track record in diagnosing and resolving software application issues is crucial.
• The ability to effectively communicate complex information to non-technical staff is required.
• The candidate must have a strong understanding of software application security and best practices.
• An ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently is key.
• The prospective employee should be capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for on-call support on a rotating basis is a requirement for this role.
• Relevant certifications in software application support would be advantageous.
• The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
