Application/SQL Database Developer

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Application / SQL Database Developer will be responsible for the overall direction of the organization’s technical infrastructure. The position will work with technical staff to integrate hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system. Additionally, this position will address problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
• Responsible for writing reports, query routines, designing new applications using SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio development tools and other related application development tools.
• Programming: C#.Net, T-SQL, SQL SP, VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, Visual Studio.net (2013), Excel & Access (VBA)
• Data analysis, data migration and conversions (DTS, SSIS, BIDS, etc.) from legacy systems.
• Data mining, data analysis, develops reports and queries for production, finance, sales, etc.
• Works with ERP structure and data to drive reports and application via SQL server.
• Analyzes technical and business requirements and translates them into system specifications.
• Conducts individual and group training sessions.
• Work in multi departmental initiatives and projects to support business needs.
• Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Educations and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years’ experience with ERP/MRP (preferably Syteline) manufacturing.
• 3-5+ years’ proven experience with Net/SP Programming.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
• Expert knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, data migration, and complex ETL design/deployment/tuning.
• Extensive background in complex T-SQL object development and troubleshooting.
• Expert knowledge assessing execution plans, T-SQL performance tuning, and index optimization.
• Experience in Web development, MVC, Bootstrap.
• Solid experience using IIS and MS Office.
• Experience with business process re-engineering and workflow analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. This is a largely sedentary role and requires the ability to use keypad for extended periods of time during the day. Requires ability to look at code / computer programs on-screen and on paper for extended periods of time with opportunity to move around however, standing and walking up and down stairs will be required. The employee will occasionally be required to complete some filing. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 20 pounds for files and computer printouts.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Hiring Range: $79,500.00 - $124,960.00
