Application Specialist I
Job Summary This position will be responsible for assisting in the ongoing technology resilience assessment, technology disruption playbook creation, risk minimization development, and implementation of measures to minimize risk to technology, working with IT Resilience Program (ITRP) Staff. This position will integrate into the IT Incident Command (IT IC) Team, providing IT IC Coverage as scheduled. Ideally, this individual will have knowledge and practical application relative to creating and implementing technology resilience plans from a Business Application, system integration, and infrastructure perspective. In addition, this individual will have experience in successfully managing mid to large scale technology incidents. This individual will work closely with other entities throughout the organization during organization-wide Emergency Management Stand-ups including but not limited to Organizational Emergency Management, Information Security Office (ISO), Organizational Security, and Clinical and Business Areas throughout the organization. This position will report directly to the Director of ITRP and IT Incident Command. Job Duties + Demonstrate the ability to be an integral member of a team contributing to not only the day-to-day functions of the team, but the creation of and tracking to the future vision of the team + Demonstrate the ability to project ‘what-if’ scenarios relative to technology disruptions and to work collaboratively with the team and key business stakeholders in the creation, testing, and maintenance of technology resilience plans + Demonstrate the ability to context switch based on the dynamic nature of responses to Major Incidents (Mis) + Demonstrate the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization form a crisis communication perspective + Must be willing to deploy to MI Location + Demonstrate the ability to develop plans, procedures, guidelines and policy relative to technology resilience, collaborating with representatives from all internal and external Geisinger Partners + Demonstrate the ability to coordinate resources (staffing, tools, etc.) to respond to a Major Incident + Demonstrate the ability to assess hazards before, during, and after Major Incidents + Demonstrate the ability to prepare and present training materials relative to technology resilience and/or Major Incident Response Work is typically performed in an on-campus or home office environment.
