Application Security Engineer

**The Team** **:** The Application security team is responsible to protect applications & product within the company which are built to empower the markets, the responsibility includes the team to protect from bad actors & making sure security hygiene is encompassed in the software development.
**Responsibilities** **and Impact** **:**
+ Conduct security vulnerability assessments and software composition analysis on applications within the organization to unveil concealed vulnerabilities in the code.
+ Analyze the scan results to identify false positives within the code and the business logic.
+ Identify and report vulnerabilities in third-party libraries and components.
+ Collaborate with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
+ Collaborate with devops teams to seamlessly integrate the scans in the CICD pipeline of the applications.
+ Stay updated on the latest security threats and best practices.
+ Assist in security awareness and training programs.
+ Develop and maintain security assessment procedures and guidelines
+ Develop custom solutions and automations to optimize the application security workflow
+ Leverage existing AI solutions to reduce false positive within the SAST and DAST programs
**Compensation/Benefits Information:** (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree in a technical field of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or IT
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
+ An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
+ The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Java, dot net and python development is preferred
+ Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of ourkey industries (https://ihsmarkit.com/products.html)
+ Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies
