The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. How you will create an impact
Reporting into the Mexico CIO department, you will have an influential role in maintaining and maximizing the use of key applications. You can expand your technical and people skills by driving our application management forward. Key responsibilities include:
+ Accountability to coordinate business priorities, business analyst, coordinating with vendor the application fixing or changes into the application under his scope.
+ Ensuring all application teams are fully aligned with senior business management goals and appropriately prioritize BAU activities.
+ Partnering with the business/operations community and outsourced service providers across multiple locations and time zones.
+ Managing Senior Stakeholder Communications including Metrics Based Reporting and Governance.
+ Identifying and implementing cost/expense reduction activities.
+ Continuing to reduce the IT risk footprint by actively managing cybersecurity risks (tech upgrades, code remediation) and increase operational stability.
What you’ll need to succeed
+ 7+ years of relevant technical IT experience in application support and maintenance; and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
+ Extensive and proven experience in technology roles in insurance (or regulated financial services).
+ Experience of leading an IT function, working in matrix managed environments.
+ Experience with maintaining cyber security standards and compliance for applications.
+ Leadership/influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience of managing and developing a team.
+ Team player, ability to work effectively in challenging and complex environments.
+ Clear and confident communicator, ability to challenge and influence change at a strategic level.
+ Proven ability to be effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility and accountability.
