Your role and responsibilitiesIn this position, you support the Sales assigned organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area for the PG Power Protection.You support the business results by overseeing each step involved in the offering lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, and pricing, in line with market needs and product group strategy and targets.The work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the UPS product group of the Electrification business area in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You will be mainly accountable for:• Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Specialists regarding Power Protection products/ systems/applications• Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers• Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations• Manages all technical, aspects of the bid — including product management and if necessary, risk reviews• Offers product/solution/service-related training to ABB employees and channel partners and coordinate with the factories• Identifies potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunity(ies). Share this information with the PP Global Product Management• Leads the implementation of the product lifecycle management process in line with the Power Protection Global Product Management program, activities and guidelines such as market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation.• Develops and maintains a local reference price list appropriate to both ABB internal offering positioning strategy and competitor offerings and ensures that it is developed and deployed in line with the needs of individual segments.• Takes responsibility for the reporting (monthly or other) to the Power Protection regional management • Supervises/controls the project pipeline in SFDC and interact with project responsible to keep the data updatedOur team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in power electronics.\tYou have over 5 years of experience working with UPS systems or other Power Protection/Critical power equipment with knowledge of power/energy supply systems such as GenSet, batteries\tYou are immersed in Product Management of Power Protection/Critical power equipment or similar, including pricing management, Product Lifecycle Management and technical support.\tYou are passionate about attention to detail, solution-focused collaboration, and effective communication skills, particularly in presenting products and technical solutions.\tYou are at ease communicating in advanced English.\tYou have availability to travel.
