Application Administrator
Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Applications Administrator. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of software applications within the organization. This includes developing and configuring new and existing applications, maintaining their performance and stability, and ensuring they meet business requirements. The Administrator will regularly collaborate with team members to extract and analyze data from various databases, helping produce actionable insights and detailed business analytics. In addition, they will support and lead projects that involve both applications and databases, working closely with staff to ensure efficient integration, smooth upgrades, and overall optimal use of the company’s software resources.   **Location:** This position is hybrid in our Syracuse, NY office. **Responsibilities:** + Design, develop, configure, and maintain critical accounting and manufacturing applications (e.g., ERP or financial management systems) to ensure seamless financial and manufacturing operations. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. + Develop and implement best practices for database structures, data flows, and integrations that support both accounting systems and other enterprise applications. + Oversee setup, customization, and upgrades of corporate software, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance requirements. + Provide guidance on security and access controls within accounting applications to protect sensitive financial data. + Evaluate, recommend, and integrate new modules or tools to enhance corporate software functionality and improve overall operational efficiency. + Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, coordinating with vendors or internal IT teams as necessary to minimize downtime. + Assist the IT Security Manager with developing IT and security policies and prodcures to enable all aspects of the business. + Help guide sensible IT decisions by working with management and teammates to create an environment of trust and productivity. **What We’re Looking For:** + Desire to be part of a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results. + Ability to collaborate and work with all members of the company to find solutions that meet the needs of everyone. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating strong collaboration and problem-solving skills when addressing technical challenges with cross-functional teams. + Excellent communication skills – both oral and written – with the ability to gather requirements, provide clear updates, and ensure stakeholder needs are met. + In-depth understanding of IT best practices, industry regulations, and governance principals related to application management and data security. + Strong attention to detail and solid project management capabilities, including effective organization, planning, time management, and prioritization skills. **Required Qualifications:** + Associate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. + 4+ years of professional experience in administering, configuring, and maintaining enterprise applications – preferably in a regulated or compliance-focused environment. + Experience working with relational database systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and/or other database platforms: This includes writing and optimizing complex queries, performing database performance tuning, ensuring data integrity, and managing backup and recovery processes. Familiarity with NoSQL or cloud-based databases is also beneficial. + Practical experience working across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, and MacOS) to troubleshoot, deploy, and maintain application services. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. + Certifications relevant to application administration (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, or other enterprise application platforms). + Experience with Deltek products including but not limited to Costpoint and TIP or willing to learn. + Proven ability to align application configurations and processes with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC) and/or organizational policies to ensure security and compliance. **Compensation and Benefits:** Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options. **Salary Range** : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $65,000 to $80,000 annually.
