What You’ll Do on a Typical Day :
The Regional Manager of Travel for Meetings [T4M], will drive the APAC market growth strategy within the Meetings & Events vertical with a primary focus on providing group air solutions to AMEX GBT’s customers. The purpose of this role is to align the global and regional business strategies, determine the priorities and goals, and lead and manage a team of T4M Planners. The Regional Manager of Travel for Meetings [T4M] will be expected to deliver higher revenue, elevate customer satisfaction, and team engagement results and support in forming the GTM strategy for the region.
The day-to-day aspects of the role will be largely leading a team of T4M planners/program managers that support Australia, Singapore, HK, India, and Taiwan markets for the T4M solutions.
Supporting the team to partner with Traveler Care [operations and fulfilment business partner] to ensure SLA/KPIs are being adhered to, workloads are cleared and all aspects of the T4M processes are being applied. Partnering with internal commercial teams [Business Travel Sales and Account Management, T4M Account Managers] to drive standardization of solutions and service offerings. Ensuring governance of the scope of work for the clients, and adherence to the global standard operating processes using the approved tech stacks with appropriate pricing.
Ongoing assessment of the market landscape and opportunities in the region - building go-to-market plans that include the value proposition specific to T4M in the region. Developing and maintaining deep senior-level relationships within the broader Meetings & Events and Business Travel teams in AMEX GBT and the regional contacts of the customers.
Personally, contributing to the revenue growth initiatives by supporting relationship management with the senior stakeholders/strategic opportunities, developing business through partnerships with the cross-functional team, and where appropriate leading pitches and RFP responses.
Supporting cross-sell initiatives by collaborating with the commercial teams in Meetings & Events and Business Travel. Identifying opportunities to improve business profitability and deploy solutions. Engage with internal stakeholders and customer contacts to identify opportunities and drive key business priorities.
Mapping customer journeys to identify issues/ opportunities for process improvements, deploying solutions, and providing regular updates on progress. Developing the team to drive high-quality customer experience, enabling them to prioritize their learning & development and providing them improvement feedback through reviews.
What We're Looking For :
Minimum college degree or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability in Meetings & Events, Business Travel, or related industries.
10+ years of shown people management experience in a diverse, global, and matrixed organization.
Strong business communication skills in the English language.
Knowledge of M&E-related technologies (like, Cvent) and their relevance and application in support of a global strategic meetings program will be an advantage.
Excellent strategic, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and/or car.
