ROLE SUMMARY
The Meetings, External Engagements, & Travel (MEET) APAC Hospitality Analyst is responsible for supporting hotel and venue selection operations within APAC. This colleague will have responsibility for booking hotels and venues for qualifying events; coordinating with Meeting Planning Agencies (MPAs) to ensure hotel and venue information is communicated; and responding to hotel and venue selection-related questions as needed. This analyst will liaise directly with commercial colleagues for any hotel/venue-related business needs, and he/she will serve as the first point of contact in addressing any issues that arise related to the hotel/venue selection process.
This role will work closely with the APAC MEET Regional Hospitality Lead, MEET Regional Operations teams, in-market Service Ambassadors, Regional Process Integrations and Controls Lead, Regional Partner Standards & Innovation Lead, and business and supplier stakeholders as needed.
This role will report directly to the APAC MEET Regional Hospitality Team Lead.

Hotel and Venue Selection
Execute day-to-day hotel and venue selection activities for APAC, based on engagements assigned by (and under direct supervision of) Regional Hospitality LeadCoordinate with commercial colleagues to ensure that all business needs and requirements related to hotel/venue selection are metEnsure compliance with Pfizer policies and local laws related to hotel/venue selectionEnsure alignment with KPIs related to timelines for hotel and venue selectionCoordinate with MPAs to ensure all hotel and venue information has been communicated Coordinate with MPA to support reconciliation activities are executed accurately and in line with SLAs Validate and clarify all supplier responses prior to presenting them for selectionEnsure all deadlines and SLAs are adhered toStandard Hotel Contract (SHC)
Oversee execution of all hotel and venue contracts, ensuring that Standard Hotel contract is utilizedMaintain working knowledge and close relationships with SHC compliant propertiesDevelop strong working knowledge of compliant hotels in region in order to make consultative recommendations to the businessStakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for the business for day-to-day hotel and venue selection-related questions and activitiesMaintain positive hotel partner relationshipsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the technology landscape that supports MEET Experience with accounting or compliance / audit transactions, preferably in a shared service with strong compliance controlsAbility to manage multiple stakeholdersProficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) requiredGood organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple prioritiesStrong technical skills in managing transactions within a systemStrong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of managementStrong customer service skills and mindsetUnderstanding of compliance / financial controlsStrength with multitasking and ensuring accurate detailAbility to work under pressure and to handle several projects at onceHigh level of self-motivation, energy and flexibilityUnderstanding of MAPP Policy terms and healthcare compliance policiesStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsMust have strong negotiation skillsStrong supplier relationshipsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typical Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience in meeting planning or venue selectionMinimum of bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related disciplineExperience in pharmaceutical meetings operationsBackground in hotel souring and venue selection preferredFluency in English and Chinese is a must; additional languages preferredComfort with ambiguity, anticipates changes, and influences direction of innovative operational strategiesPrevious experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferredComprehensive knowledge of the meetings & travel industryFundamental knowledge of a large, customer facing operations teamAbility to engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve objectivesProficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) requiredKnowledge of CventProficiency with data analysis and visualizationExperience with accounting or compliance / audit transactions, preferably in a shared service with strong compliance controlsExperience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act transactions preferredPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position is based in Dalian, China. Travel would be for work related needs only. Weekend work could be necessary based on volumes.
