APAC Deputy RMG Manager

Purpose of the Role:

Assist APAC RMG manager to help APAC OpCo to achieve superior and superior growth by building superior RMG capability, namely by:

Driving value in OpCo through disciplined initiative and price tracking Drive the deployment of organisational capabilities efforts across 4 dimensions, people/org structure, people competency, processes, data/tool Anchoring change, establish and drive RMG way of working and value mindset across all commercial functions

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Build Organisational capabilities – people competency

Develop regional roadmap to grow people competency in the region

Coordinate the deployment of individual global competency assessment with the support of OpCo RM/ Sale cap and regional Capa Summarize with OpCo findings with OpCo and define and align with the team the priority competency to be developed and the priority cohort to train Plan with global and local team capability roadmap roll-out by OpCo and consolidate at the region Influence global team to develop content to bridge priority gaps in the region or develop/ have developed content (with the approval of the global team)

 

Deploy global competency building programs with the support of global RMG capability manager/ APAC sale capa manager,

Deploy global competency individual assessment & training programs Get OpCo certified

 

Build Organisational capabilities – tools/data/analytics

Deploy analytical solutions in OpCos - under the coaching of the APAC RMG manager and in collaboration of global team / APAC D&T team / local RM team

Engage and communicate with global/regional/local stakeholders on the deployment of global/regional analytical solutions  Identify any required adjustment (& implement them) to ensure adoption  Deploy solutions in the OpCo and ensure usage Consolidate insights at regional level to support regional MD in their OpCo discussion

 

RMG organisational capability – processes/governance

Deploy process blueprints in OpCos - under the coaching of the APAC RMG manager and in collaboration of global team / local RM team -

Engage and communicate with global/regional/local stakeholders on the deployment of global/regional process blueprints Run high level diagnostic of current practices across along the key processes in scope for selected OpCos Deploy these blueprints with OpCo  and recommend adjustment based on local specificities On ad hoc basis – support regional or global lead in the design phase

 

Deliver Value – Initiative tracking (Non price)

Embed RMG progress review (Price & non-price) in OpCos integrated transformation meetings, namely

Ensure the validation of all AP locked initiatives into SNOW Ensure the good adoption and compliance of the RMG SNOW across all OpCo Ensure proper tracking of RMG initiatives – capture progress, identify risk & opportunities, engage OpCo for mitigation actions to prepare for OpCo integrated transformation meetings – Consolidate progress for reporting to various governing bodies (e.g. SteerCo/ RLT)

 

Deliver Value – Pricing routine

Deploy a regional pricing routine

Engage OpCo to deploy regional/ global pricing routine and collect input from OpCo Prepare materials and recommendations to support regional pricing discussion (Pricing routine) at RLT

 

Experience & Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

University degree in Economics/Business Management – or equivalent relevant professional experience; Preferred background in but not limited to Marketing & Sales, Consulting, Finance Min of 10 year of professional experience with min 5 commercial & analytics experience, preferably in FMCG or retail 3 years in a RMG function or equivalent Demonstrated skills and experience  Strong strategic analytical skills – ability to review complex, ambiguous/incomplete data, pulling out key insights. Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity and ability to search out facts without prior process/guidance Passion for delivering result, take ownership and translating insights into concise practical plans for execution. Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing skills to win support and drive decision making at MT level High level of cross functional cooperation: effectively partnering with communication, control, account & brand teams Ability to visually present analysis, key insights, facts & figures in a compelling way; tailor content to audience Commercial acumen: understanding customer landscape and how to get RM insights translated to shop floor. Experience of OpCo commercial and financial systems and governance, panel data Confident with big data; strong with excel and other data software. Experience in successfully guiding and managing small teams is an advantage[A1]  Familiar with both modern and traditional trade environment
