Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a highly qualified full-time English teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP or college preparatory English classes, with experience teaching AP Seminar considered a plus. We seek an educator who understands how literature gives us a perspective on the contemporary issues we face and who has the capability to make connections between interdisciplinary texts that can spark imaginative and concrete solutions. Strong applicants should have a proven ability to teach rigorous writing techniques, ensuring students can articulate their thoughts clearly and effectively across various genres and contexts.

Our English courses focus on classic and contemporary literature, nonfiction reading selections, critical thinking and analysis, and thesis-based composition. Additionally, AP Seminar is an interdisciplinary course that encourages students to demonstrate critical thinking, collaboration, and academic research skills. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or a related field, successful high school English teaching experience, and an interest in developing compelling curriculum content for high school students.
