Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a highly qualified full-time science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP Chemistry and other science courses. Join a student-centered community with a strong commitment to our outstanding STEM program that has earned multiple AP Computer Science Female Diversity Awards, has placed in the top ten in the National Rocketry Challenge, and has been invited to participate in the NASA Student Launch Initiative for two straight years.
We seek an innovative, collaborative, and experienced science teacher who can fulfill the 21st century learning environment goals of Notre Dame Academy by emphasizing hands-on learning, guiding thoughtful laboratory experiments, and making meaningful real-world connections. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or a related field and successful high school science teaching experience. This individual must be innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working, modeling for students a growth mindset. We seek faculty members who are intellectually curious, willing to grow professionally, student focused, dedicated to lifelong learning, and able to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and parents to enhance our learning community.

Requirements:
Successful high school chemistry teaching experience AP Chemistry teaching experience preferred Experience teaching other physical and life sciences a plus Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, Master’s desired Comfortable teaching in a Catholic education setting Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment California teaching credential preferred
