Description: Job Summary:
Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.Provides secretarial support to departmental administrators/chief, including typing correspondence, forms, reports, disciplinary actions; opens and sorts mail; schedules appointments; answers phone, takes and relays messages; sets up and maintains department files; performs Xeroxing.Sets up and/or modifies computer software to meet the needs of departmental reports and projects. Performs data entry into computer.Completes payroll time sheets by abstracting time worked from time cards for CRNAs and anesthesiology.Prepares FTE reports for administration.Sets up and updates attendance records for CRNAs.Takes and types minutes of departmental meetings.Obtains, calculates and maintains statistical information, as requested.Assists administrator by calling job applicants, making appointments for interviews; providing general information as needed.Sets up educational meetings; corresponds with speakers and sales representatives.Orders supplies as necessary; secures data from vendors and follows up with orders.Maintains accurate documentation and servicing of anesthesia machines and Waste Gas Survey.Assigns clerical duties to Anesthesia Clerk as necessary. Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Two (2) years secretarial experience, filing, computer, customizing computer programs required.
IBM Computer skills with Word, Lotus, dBase, Medical Terminology or one (1) - two (2) years hospital clerical experience.
Verbal and written skills required.
Basic mathematical skills required.
Type 45 wpm.
May require travel between facilities.
Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
