Responsibilities

The Mayo Clinic Health System - Wisconsin Chair, in collaboration with nursing and administrative partners, will provide strategic direction and oversee the ongoing performance of the Department of the Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine across the state of Wisconsin. The WI practice includes hub community hospitals with established care team models as well as critical access hospitals with independent CRNA practice. Robust surgical and procedural offerings include cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, general surgery, OB/GYN, gastroenterology, and trauma services. Develop your practice while guiding its future through mentorship of residents, nurse anesthetist students, and other members of the care team.

This leadership position will be responsible for recruitment and retention of outstanding staff and ensure the alignment and development of critical resources to achieve the goal of being a community anesthesia practice that also honors the tradition of the Mayo Clinic Three Shields: clinical practice, research, and education.

Exemplify Mayo Clinic's principles and values.Guide and set direction for Wisconsin within the framework of institutional and MCHS/Enterprise policy and direction, in collaboration with other department and institutional leaders. Oversee the day-to-day performance of the Wisconsin department as set forth by annual plans and priorities.Collaborate with Mayo Clinic on site-level, MCHS, Midwest, and Enterprise department related initiatives and activities. Provide stewardship of the state’s departmental resources to serve the institutional good while promoting the long-term growth and development of the practice.Ensure that patients receive the highest quality care (outcomes, safety, and service).Nurture the development and diversity of staff, and mentor the current and next generation of Mayo’s leaders.Promote the discovery and effective delivery of leading-edge medical science and treatment.Advance the Department’s and Mayo’s research and academic mission.
