Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding two (2) Anesthesiologists to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. The department of Anesthesiology has up to 6000 cases per year and 2000 deliveries.

Responsibilities Determines and prescribes kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases Advises Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problemsRecommends suitable anesthesia, advises on dosages and consults on post-operative complicationsReviews case histories and is responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology Attends clinical conferencesPerforms related work as required40 hour work week with no embeded callAbility to make more compensation by picking up call/addtional hours for coverageJacobi Overview:
Calls are paid extra per hour and are about 4 to 5 per month in house
Daily resident coverage is about 1:1. Ob coverage is 1 attending 1 CRNA 24/7. OR call is with residents or CRNA

Qualifications Graduation from medical school of recognized standing with the degree of Doctor of Medicine with a NYS LicenseCompletion of an acceptable residency training in an approved programExperience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not requiredAdditional Fellowship training is welcomeBenefits include:
