Job Description

Individual is responsible to lead and provide support for the site Micro or Analytical lab personnel. This individual will need to work across departments and systems to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues. This individual will act as a technical resource with a strong understanding of compliance and good laboratory practices. Individual is responsible for delivering the QA/QC results necessary to achieve the compelling business need.

Shared Responsibilities: Micro and Analytical Lab Leader

This job has managerial responsibilities of employees involving coaching and professional development. Coordinates the work of several analystsFlows to the work as needed to meet the business need.Enables a robust quality culture, continuously improving consumer and customer quality, and building an organization that executes with discipline and excellence.Leads analysts through the Lab Excellence Module implementation and sustainability.Coach analysts and support resources to comply with established standards and document standards for improvements made.Understands, follows, and ensures compliance with QA and HS&E Key Elements.  Eliminate Root Cause of any outages.Actively supports project validation needs.Integrates new projects and initiative standards into the organization.  Ensure Shift Teams are capable to execute new tests.Daily laboratory management to include resource planning (people & equipment), methods transfer and verification, and capability building for regulatory compliance and continued business execution. Owns OOS, quality defects, and equipment issues to identify opportunities for testing efficienciesAdheres to general standards to promote a cooperative working environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.

Job Qualifications

Required

Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or equivalent industry training and experience.Experience with laboratory testing in a GMP environment.People management experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.

Pay Range: $86,000 - $115,000
