Job Overview and Key Responsibilities:The Analyst/Senior Analyst - Loyalty Program Strategy and Insights role is responsible for supporting the analytics needed to help determine the value of currency products of MileagePlus. The role involves both data mining and data analytics to help understand trends with the currency of MileagePlus, facilitate forecasting of redeemed miles, deferred miles and work with colleagues in accounting and finance with ad hoc analysis related to currency and MileagePlus. This role will create month-end reports on various products of MileagePlus including direct-to-consumer mile sales, weighted average cost of miles redeemed for airline related products, ancillary sales using miles as a form of payment, Money Miles tickets and any fee revenue. The role will help the team understand and optimize currency value internally and review competitiveness across other loyalty programs as applicable
Activate and extract data from various internal databases to create reports on overall currency healthDevelop and maintain tools and models for forecasting of currency issuance and currency redemptionWork with finance and accounting teams as lead business analyst in determining currency value, breakage, profitabilityAct as subject-matter-expert on currency health and collaborate with various MileagePlus teams across organization on matters related to currency valueNOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement with approximately 50% of the time spent onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.
