Discover a more connected Analyst Safety career Position consists of three main areas of focus: Analysis and Statistical Data Research, Employee Training and Fleet Inspections. This position will include conducting field safety program data analysis and study; management and creation of spreadsheets and databases, managing reporting dashboards and presentations; troubleshooting excel systems, worksheets and quality control systems involving field safety, compliance, training and risk analysis. This position will be traveling to Pauley Construction sites conducting various employee trainings in the areas of Safety, OSHA, Human Resources, Equipment and On the Job Training. This position will also be responsible for field and yard inspections to comply with state, federal, city and OSHA regulations in regards to equipment and work done. Must possess excellent customer service skills, be willing to face issues in a positive manner and resolve day to day conflicts as they arise. Travel may be required for this position. This position reports to the Director Safety. This individual must assume personal responsibility for the overall safety, job sites, customer, OSHA and company policy and procedures. What you’ll do as a Analyst Safety + Perform comprehensive data analysis, interpretation and reporting of performance data using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining, importing data from a variety of sources into a singular data source. + Collect, organize, monitor, and evaluate safety operational, service, and performance data through automated reporting and regular communication to management and business units, identifying trends and areas for improvement. + Perform data analysis to determine current performance and forecast and trend future performance to recommend improvements and/or corrective actions. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and other required analyses on safety management activity. + Will travel to Pauley sites conducting OSHA and safety trainings, Human Resources training, equipment training and developmental growth training and additional on the job trainings as needed. + Develop and implement new training or processes to assist employees and managers with keeping employees and equipment safe and compliant. + Responsible for getting training evaluations for each class which grades the subject, the trainer and the important of the training. This information is used to determine future training assessments and for annual evaluation purposes. + Attend regular meetings with the Corporate Safety management team, record notes and follow-up on key issues. Assist safety management with special projects and provide daily status reports as required. + Coordinate with Corporate departments to collect and analyze data to prepare reports for presentation to senior management. + Recommend process design changes and identifies opportunities to improve existing procedures and related tools to meet the requirements of an evolving workflow process. + May work closely with the Information Technology team to accomplish various tasks and duties. + Perform other duties to support business needs as assigned by the Safety Director. What you’ll need + To be 18 years of age or older + Authorization to work in the United States for this company + Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver’s license. + Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening. + Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed. + May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed. + May include working nights and holidays. + Will be required to travel in state, out of state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements. + Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. + Bilingual (English/Spanish), strongly preferred. Additional qualifications Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: + 2-3 years of work-related experience including research, data analysis, statistical analysis, training and report writing. + Experience working in telecommunications, construction, utilities or cable. + Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position. Reasoning Ability: + Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations. Ability to collect, organize, disseminate and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Mathematical Skills: + Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. Language Skills: + Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors and coworkers up through all levels of management and staff in a bilingual capacity. Pauley Construction, LLC: as well as the position of Analyst Safety, are safety sensitive Pay Range: The Annual salary for the Analyst Safety position is $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
