The Role
Highly positive, experienced analyst relations leader to grow and nurture Hitachi Vantara’s relationship with industry analysts across major firms such as Gartner and IDC. This position is responsible for driving analyst awareness of our business offerings to strengthen analyst advocacy of Hitachi Vantara, and capture analyst insights in support of business efforts across Prod Development, Marketing and Sales.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain positive relationships with and between key analysts, influencers and internal executive stakeholders. Educate analysts about Hitachi Vantara products/solutions, vision, strategy, growth and customer success. Create, deploy & manage quarterly/yearly analyst relations outreach program(s) for Hitachi Vantara’s priority product/solutions aligned with a set of high priority analysts. This includes outreach plans, research evaluation participation, onsite executive interactions, and consistent analyst communications via the AR portal. Manage regular analyst engagements, including strategy days, briefings, inquiries, meetings and events. Manage the creation of presentations and briefing documents for analyst engagements. Create & lead quarterly analyst insight sessions with Hitachi Vantara C-level executives. Provide strategic guidance on the analyst insights captured. Stay on top of the analyst research agendas, including competitive landscapes and analyst point of view of the vendors in our market, and work closely across product marketing and product management to incorporate analyst feedback and research findings into our product positioning and roadmap. Maintain a calendar of analyst key research and communicate regularly with internal stakeholders. Lead and manage analyst evaluations (Gartner MQs, IDC Marketscapes, GigaOm Radars, etc.) from start to finish including internal strategy kick off, RFI execution, demo strategy, briefings and final submission. Support product launches and campaigns with message building, briefings and drive analyst validation. Support Marketing and Sales with analyst contributions & insights to assist in sales opportunities. Communicate AR program achievements, including monthly & quarterly AR outcome reporting. Support internal requests for analyst research and insight, collaborating with the Market Intelligence team. Deliver AR spokesperson training as needed for HV leadership.

Education & Experience Requirements

6 to 8+ years’ experience in a high-tech AR role managing a successful analyst program. A critical thinker. AR success collaborating with C-suite leaders, product development directors, product marketing directors. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively present to internal and external audiences. Strong team player – comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and leaderships. Ability to take initiative and execute projects from start to finish while working independently to set and manage deadlines, connect the dots, and follow through. Track record that demonstrates successful AR program leadership, including management of major evaluations, securing stakeholder buy-in, and actioning inbound insights from analysts. Skill set to balance strategic thinking with tactical and detailed execution. Bachelor’s degree (Business, Comms, Marketing or related field) Experience leading Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScape evaluations and outcome/post-mortem reporting. Working expertise with Microsoft Office suite.

A-Plus Skills

Knowledgeable use of the Spotlight OZ- AR database or similar platform. Experience leveraging AI technologies for AR process efficiency a plus. Experience working in Infrastructure/Storage, AI Infrastructure business.
