Analyst International Logistics

Purpose

This position will work cross-functionally with the Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Inventory Management and Replenishment teams, as well as with our product vendors and logistics service providers with the goal of optimizing our supply chain to reduce costs and improve both quality and speed.  The position will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing international supply chain solutions that will drive cost out and service improvement.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with focus in industrial engineering, supply chain or business administration is preferred.Thrives in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.  Must be a self-starter and prioritize effectively.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersMust have strong attention to detailMust be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word and ExcelMust have proven track record in developing and implementing supply chain improvement processes. At least 2 years of experience in a logistics environment is preferred.  

Essential Functions

Establish and execute exception management process to monitor the flow of international POs.Communicate regularly with service providers and carriers to ensure timely movement of shipmentsProvide analytical support for Manager and Director of International LogisticsManage service provider SOPs and recommend revisions to ensure continuous process improvements in the overall international logistics process and product flow.Develop and manage performance scorecards to ensure on-going management of international logistics service providers.Analyzes market conditions and freight spend to implement best practicesIdentify and implement supply chain improvement projects focusing on both cost and service.Work closely with Manager and Director to review and optimize international freight and service provider procurement strategy
