This team operates at the center of the world’s debt and equity markets. They provide sales and trading services, liquidity, hedging strategies and industry-leading insights, analytics and competitive pricing to more than 9,000 institutional clients across six continents. The Global Equities group includes Institutional Derivatives Sales, Derivative and Convertible Trading, Institutional Equity Sales, Equity Trading, Electronic Trading Services, Prime Brokerage and OTC Trading. Global Equities provides marketing, structuring and trading of listed and customized equity products for its clients. **Job Description** Within the Global Equities team, the role includes risk management for the bank’s Equity Financing business, and will focus on Risk Management for the bank’s new and existing client portfolios for the Prime Brokerage desk Provide a broad range of risk, data and analytical support to Product desks across global locations **Responsibilities** + Create tools to monitor loans/leverage from long position of clients • Monitor value of collateral held as security declines below the loan value and client is unable to pay the deficit • Design in-house risk based margin methodologies to determine the maximum loss of a portfolio • Create scenarios based on risk parameters like liquidity, macro events, geographic mix etc., to run simulations on portfolio value Create periodic strategy notes/reports by studying historical percentiles on price, asset volatility etc. • Run sample portfolio using in-house margin methodologies and tools to generate margin report • Generate accurate risk summaries at different levels (position, client, fund, regional, global) to analyze significant changes in client portfolios • Manage and execute ad hoc projects for the risk team • Extract historical data from Bloomberg and in-house sources and run analytics to determine meaningful output + Back-test trading strategies, apply statistical analysis, research, advise and consult LOBs on the best custom risk management techniques • Build tools from scratch by using programming languages to help data and results from various sources interact with each other • Create custom analytics reports / tools by using Python, SQL and data visualization tools + Help design key strategy and sales notes for stakeholders **Requirements** • E **ducation** : Post Graduates from a top Tier University with MBA, Mathematics or Finance related major degree; post graduates from IITs with strong quant background • **Exp Rang** es: 1-3 years previous experience in Global Markets / Equities **• Foundational Skills:** Hand-on experience in Python, SQL and visualization tools • Can work well under fast paced and under pressure environment • Strong in numbers, data analytics skills • Ability to manage time effectively • Detailed oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills • Ability to work well in a team environment with demonstrated feedback • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Advanced Microsoft Office skills • Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently • Strong knowledge of general business and corporate cultures • Must have excellent judgment; independent thinker and resourceful **Desired Skills:** Prior experience in Financial Services support preferred **Experience Range** 1-3 years **Work Timings** 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM & 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM – Shift timings are subjective to change depending upon the business requirements. Associates should be flexible enough to work in the revised shifts.
