As part of the Global Services Group (GSG), the Global Supply Management (GSM) organization partners with American Express (AXP) business partners to identify the right third parties to support their strategic business objectives, negotiate contracts and protect the company from third-party risk. GSM’s vision is to offer outstanding procurement, third-party risk management, and payments services to American Express colleagues. Within GSM the Third-Party Center of Excellence (COE) is comprised of the Third-Party Lifecycle Management (TLM) Operations, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and Third-Party Governance & Control teams, which all play a critical role in effectively overseeing third-party risk for the company.
The Third-Party Risk Management Strategy Analyst will work in a hybrid schedule and is responsible for supporting the maintenance and direction of third-party risk management requirements with the opportunity to work across TPRM colleagues in Policy, Standards, Portfolio Risk Analysis and Quality Assurance. Under the supervision of a TPRM Strategy Manager, the Analyst will support ongoing management and evolution of program requirements across one or more risk pillars, such as but not limited to Compliance, Financial Health/Credit, Privacy, Resilience, and Information Security. The role includes application of curiosity, thought leadership and cross-functional collaboration with TLM Operations and Risk Subject Matter Experts to define and drive risk management activities that are ‘fit-for-purpose’. To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, follow-through, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Understand the third-party lifecycle and scope of assigned risk pillars as they relate to third-party risk management.
+ Document approaches to risk identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for assigned risk pillars.
+ Analyze program outcomes in order to measure effectiveness of risk requirements.
+ Administer updates to guidance documents leveraged by the TLM Operations and Business Unit colleagues to manage compliance with risk requirements with a focus on clarity and comprehensiveness.
+ Manage & support multiple initiatives for assigned risk pillars such as anticipated changes, emerging risks, and troubleshooting.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned Risk SMEs, TPRM colleagues and TLM Operations partners.
+ Challenge the status quo and drive continuous strengthening of risk management requirements.
+ Participate in Cross-functional discussions to ensure proper alignment across various stakeholders.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Ability to project manage in a fast-paced, self-starter environment with a commitment to deliver results timely.
+ Familiarity with third-party or procurement lifecycle phases.
+ Moderate to Advanced Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel skills.
+ Attention to detail and follow-through.
+ Demonstrated ability to build relationships and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple geographies.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Audit, Risk Management or Third-Party professional credentials a plus.
+ Minimum 2-3 years of experience with risk management concepts or risk management program(s).
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
