Key Responsibilities:

Analyst - Cargo Ops Budget Management is a key contributor in United Cargo. Responsibilities include oversight over $200M in operating expenses, labor contracts governing 4,000 vendor employees and financial audit oversight of $300M in expenses. This role is serves as support for implementing all financial controls over United Cargo’s operating budget for 100 vendors and serve as point during high-profile contract negotiations. Internally this position partner with corporate finance, procurement, cargo operations and cargo leadership on all matters relating to the operating budget. This position will delicately support balancing the financial obligations of United Cargo, the needs of the operations and the landscape of vendors to safeguard United Cargo’s place as the top belly cargo carrier in the world.

Cost Management - Support Finance on budget creation, forecasting, describing budget variances, and month-end accruals for operational Cargo budgets totaling over $200MAudit, process, and log these costs for Cargo; consisting of very complicated contractual agreementsDrive procurement during contract negotiations to balance operational needs and the constrains imposed by the budgetIdentify, reconcile, and accurate billing discrepancies while working with vendors to manage relationshipsAnalysis Action - Build and drive financial and operational actions using various software/programs on a weekly/monthly/ad hoc basisDerive significant information from large data sets, uncovering continuous improvement opportunities and seeing them through to completionContract Execution - Assist business partner in drafting handling contracts and a variety of operating contractsNegotiate contracts and coordinating discussions between cargo ops, corporate finance, procurement and cargo leadershipThese sophisticated contracts cover $200M in services spread out across 120 different vendors at 180 different airportsResponsible for ensuring vendors meet the commitments of their contracts and these contracts reflect the needs of the United Cargo business
