SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Fulfill customer requests for Segmentation - update and change accounts and perform the clustering & sub-segmentation activities. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Analysis of the Customer business: Assigning Nielsen ID and segmenting them based on respective business hierarchy. The Associate will be required to utilize an extensive knowledge of ARCS tool and technology to perform the activity. The purpose would also be to cluster different accounts to the parent account.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Basic understanding of Customer Segmentation and an idea of the life science industry and their nature of workShould have good knowledge about common scientific terms and have good control over their streamShould be able to handle process independently after trainingUnderstand the impact of Customer Segmentation in other areasAbility to train the team with good planning and bring out efficient outcomes.Ability to initiate projects independently and drive them with consistent persistence.Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Customer Segmentation processAble to support the projects with result-oriented approach
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Post-Graduate degree preferably Biochemistry or Microbiology / Life science
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in handling Segmentation requestsIndustry experience preferred
Desirable Skills:
Good in written and spoken English. Moreover, should have capability to work with team from different geographies and people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to effortlessly work across cultures – good email and phone etiquettesMust be able to work successfully with the overseas teams to transition new processes.The ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing the changing demands; demonstrate high sense of urgency
Technical Skills / Competencies:
Microsoft Office- Basic Proficiency expectedGood Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excess, MS-Excel and Power point.Should be able to make best use of MS office and excel to create Data analysis, reports, PowerPoint presentation, pivot table, VLOOKUP.
Keyboard Skills– Basic Proficiency expectedShould have keyboard skills with typing speed of 30-35 wpm Should have excellent skills in operating keyboard and should be aware of all the keyboard shortcuts to achieve maximum throughput
3. Function (Domain expertise)
Develop an overall knowledge on the product lines/ categories of Sigma Aldrich & Merck product portfolio.Contribute to company/department operations and process improvement efforts.Recommend and participate in process improvement studies.As a part of the global strategy, Associate will hold a position that requires high degree of responsibility, and the ability to work closely under supervision.BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understand the basics and needs of good communication in the process.Proficient in Interpersonal skills, Problem solving, Planning & executionBasic proficiency in Customer orientation, Business acumen and Leading change.
