Job DescriptionWe are looking for a seasoned Data Analyst with 5-8 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with deep expertise in Power BI. This role requires a professional skilled in advanced DAX formulas, Power Query, and custom visualizations. The ideal candidate will excel in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, creating dynamic reports, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze data to generate insights that support business decisions, focusing on Power BI reporting and visualization.
- Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, leveraging DAX formulas for complex calculations and Power Query for efficient data transformation.
- Design and implement custom visuals to enhance data storytelling and meet specific business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and translate business requirements into effective Power BI data models and reports.
- Conduct data validation and quality checks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all reports and visualizations.
- Optimize data models for performance, usability, and scalability across the business.
- Provide ongoing Power BI training, best practices, and support to end-users to maximize adoption and data literacy.
- Stay current with Power BI updates, including DAX enhancements, Power Query features, and new custom visualizations, to continuously improve reporting solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Comp science or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with 3+ years specializing in Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX formulas, Power Query, and custom visual creation.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Proven experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations that drive business decisions.
- Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
- Effective communicator with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) and cloud data environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
