Analyst, Research & Strategy – Global Capital Markets
JLL Research plays a critical role in monitoring market performance, identifying themes and opportunities and using our market intelligence to steer JLL and our clients. The Analyst will join JLL’s growing Capital Markets Research team, working as part of the global team. The analyst will play a critical role in providing data driven insights to shape Research’s real estate capital markets trends as well as show JLL’s position in the market. We will look to them to understand financial markets and track the macro-economic environment to evolve our views and content on the real estate capital markets. As part of this work, the analyst will work closely with Research’s extensive data sets as well as Research’s colleagues across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
This is a global role, and the analyst will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across JLL Research, Capital Markets and other JLL businesses. The goal is to create and maintain best-in-class research that differentiates JLL and drives a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise, analysis and insight.
What this job involves
Monitor the performance of the economy and financial markets to assess potential impact on real estate capital marketsTrack competitive landscape in the real estate capital markets to help Capital Markets leadership understand competitive dynamics and peer strategiesContribute to client initiatives, business / corporate development opportunities and research advisory engagements through data aggregation, analysis and content creationPartner with marketing and design teams to craft global collateral for use on JLL.com as well as in company presentationsContribute to quarterly research content suite and ad-hoc research thought leadership through data aggregation and desktop research of macroeconomic and real estate trendsCompile, enhance and manage global data sets working in close collaboration with our teams in the Americas, EMEA and Asia PacificServe as a go-to for global real estate transaction requests, inclusive of data and research across property types and business lines, from members of Capital Markets, Value & Risk Advisory and Research teams as well as others across JLLAnalyze data to identify trends and develop content and messagingUnderstand and assemble data from key third-party research resources and data vendors (such as Real Capital Analytics, S&P Capital IQ, Oxford Economics) and proprietary technology systemsQuery and aggregate data using SQL query tools, Microsoft excel, and third-party data sourcesDesired skills and experience for this job
Bachelors degree in business, economics, real estate or related field desiredOne to three years in commercial real estate research or closely related fieldPassion for commercial real estate industry and willingness to learn in depth real estate and market dynamicsAbility to navigate third party data sources containing financials and economic information on global marketsStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityAdvanced command of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)Familiarity with data management systems (Microsoft SQL, Power BI)Ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and manage work in a dynamic environmentWillingness to work flexible hours given the various time zones of colleagues and clientsPresentation skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external clientsAbility to effectively and professionally meet client expectations and positively represent the firmA desire to work within a diverse, collaborative and driven professional environmentEstimated total compensation for this position:
70,000.00 – 85,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
