Job Description
The Position:
The Firm is seeking to add a resource to support its Platform Operations team in its New York office. The Platform Operations team is responsible for managing the (1) the operational execution and onboarding of new products created for BOWS, (2) the operational onboarding of new relationships for products distributed by BOWS, and (3) the oversight of the BOWS feeder fund platforms and the semi-liquid products. This person will be primarily responsible for supporting the Firm’s Canadian feeder fund platform. The individual will also assist the team with supporting the semi-liquid products distributed by BOWS and other projects that are initiated by the team. The person will interact regularly with legal and compliance, business development, sales, investor relations, and fund finance and operations professionals as well as senior management. The individual assuming this role should have familiarity with the financial industry, be organized and self-motivated to be able to run independently with projects.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the implementation and execution of processes and procedures for investor related activity, including subscriptions, transfers, and redemptions
· Manage subscription agreement review process of the Canadian feeder fund platform and communicate with offshore consultants assisting in review
· Monitor trade deadlines and communicate with sales team on upcoming deadlines
· Review subscription materials and other investor-related documentation and track information related thereto
· Perform reconciliation of subscription agreements and trades received prior to monthly trade deadlines
· Communicate with internal teams regarding monthly trade activity
· Respond to advisor inquiries regarding trade placement activity
· Assist with project management of electronic subscription agreement portal and automation initiatives
· Assist with the project management and execution of onboarding new partners to platform
· Coordinate with third-party service providers to monitor ongoing fund operations and potential launch of new products
· Respond to ad-hoc requests from the team
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree including at least 1 year in a financial service or a corporate paralegal role
· Experience working with fund administrators, subscription documentation and/or in the Canadian marketplace is a plus but not required
· Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy
· Proven ability to learn quickly and prioritize multiple projects
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills
· Capable of anticipating and accommodating the needs of team members and adapting to the changing needs of the organization
· Energetic and willing to get involved where needed
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Strong analytical, project and time management skills
Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
