Due to growth, we are adding an Analyst, Government Programs Billing to our Accounting department. 

 

The Analyst, Government Programs Billing is responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of best-in-class billing and accounts receivable systems and processes for government programs.  The Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in Medicare Prescription Payment Plans, including the section 11202 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 (M3P), Medicare Part D Health Plan clients, Medicare Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP), Medicaid, and other government programs. The primary goal of this role is to oversee all financial processes delegated to the government programs vendors and 3rd party vendors with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences with this component of their relationship with Navitus. Government programs financial reporting is also part of the scope of this position. The incumbent in this role will apply broad knowledge of billing, accounts receivable and collections in daily revenue cycle management activities.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?   

Develops and maintains deep subject matter expertise related to the Medicare Prescription Payment Plans, Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Medicaid, other government programs, and related financial functions. Administers overall reconciliation of Medicare financial processes for Navitus EGWP clients. Responsible for financial oversight of Medicare processes with all Navitus clients, including those using the Navitus Medicare Payment Plan (M3P) solution, the Navitus MedicareRx EGWP M3P solution, and all 3rd party M3P vendor integrated solutions. Implements and supports Medicare payment processes to our Medicare EGWP clients. Monitors aging reports for our Medicare EGWP clients. Provides reporting to clients in support of billing & collection activities. Oversees cash receipts and distributions related to Navitus Medicare EGWP M3P program.  Leads and executes process improvement projects focused on enhancements to our Medicare Payment plan (M3P) product offering. Participates in implementation of new Navitus Part D Health Plan M3P clients, new 3rd party M3P + Navitus Part D Health Plan clients, and new Navitus EGWP M3P clients.  Develops and administers run-out processes for all Navitus Medicare Payment Plan clients who move to a different PBM. Partners with the Sr. Manager, Revenue Cycle Management and other revenue cycle management team members to assess and enhance the processes for billing, collections, and cash application, ensuring billing is consistent with the terms included in the client contract. Facilitates partnership with account executive teams as well as industry relations and rebate teams to ensure fee changes, billing, collection, and rebate distributions are communicated to clients accurately and on a timely basis. Partners with accounting and revenue cycle management team members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly metrics (AR reconciliation, AR Aging trends, Allowance for Doubtful Accounts).  Other duties as assigned  Qualifications

What our team expects from you?  

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or related field required 3 years of experience in billing and collections, with at least two years of experience utilizing an automated billing solution in a dynamic environment required. Medicare Part D and PBM experience is highly desired. Experience in government programs compliance program participation, adherence, and support is highly desired. Knowledge and experience with financial system applications/ERP software such as Oracle (ORMB/Fusion), SAP, NetSuite, etc. are preferred Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
