The opportunity:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The Analyst will report to the Finance Manager, Capital and Productivity. This opportunity will partner across the business with key areas of focus including productivity tracking, capital analysis, product costing, and process and reporting improvements across the segment. The Analyst will participate and support various team projects and will be expected to interact with numerous functional departments (at Corporate, Segment and plant levels) and with all levels within the company. The position will assist in improving the performance of the Business through analytical support, facilitation, and engagement.
How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:
Monitor current capital investment, budgets, benefits for all projects within the capital program for Corrugated Container Group. Maintain and update plant cost models across the Corrugated Container Group.Monitor non-capital projects and report their savings and projectivity that are tracked in Project Portal system.Prepare monthly capital reporting for Corrugated division to present “spend” changes in actuals vs forecast. Partner with regional finance and operations leads to standardize gross productivity reporting.Support tracking segment Path to ONE (P21) productivity goal and gross to net analysis.Maintain Corrugated Container Group deliverables calendar. Drive process efficiency improvements through automation.Assist with capital post-audit consolidation and validation.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum three years of experience and a track record of success in finance or accountingExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills, passion for improvement. Enjoy working in a team/collaborative environmentAdvanced skills in Excel and Hyperion SmartView. Experience JDE/SAP, QlikView and Alteryx a plusAbility to work independently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc requestsPrevious experience in manufacturing industry (corrugated/packaging), preferred but not requiredWhat we offer:
