Analyst, Business Analytics
Favor is the food delivery app made by Texans, for Texans, and data is at the center of everything we do. The appetite for reporting and analysis increases every day as we grow and improve our programs, platforms, products, and features for our community of customers, Runners (that’s what we call Favor delivery drivers), and restaurant and retail partners. 
We are looking for an analyst to join our Business Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage first- and third-party data to generate insights about our customers, Runners, partners, and products. You’ll form strong relationships with the internal stakeholder teams you support and help drive strategy and success for their respective area. Title and compensation will be informed by experience level.What you’ll do:Drive the business forward by defining and capturing key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the impact of specific product features, programs, and operational initiativesDevelop and maintain a suite of self-service reporting that puts the most critical KPIs in the hands of stakeholdersProactively develop and communicate recommendations to stakeholders and partner with them on successful implementationLeverage customer, Runner, and marketplace data to make recommendations for best-in-class experiencesAnalyze content performance to understand how in-app selection, pricing, display, and sort order influence engagement, with the ultimate goal of turning 100% of sessions into conversionsIdentify and resolve gaps in data completeness and accuracy to continually improve our data ecosystemGrow the collective Business Analytics team knowledge base through process documentationUse analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and synthesize large data sets and translate these data insights you’ve gained into actionable business recommendationsUtilize data sets in conjunction with the key business drivers that impact Favor’s three-sided marketplace to identify growth opportunities and optimize performanceSkills you have:A relevant degree or comparable formal training, certification, and/or work experienceAt least 2 years of experience working in an analytical roleIntermediate (or advanced) structured query language (SQL) skills with the ability to write complex queriesProficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for data visualization and reportingFamiliarity with tools like Data Build Tool (DBT) for data transformation workflows and data modeling and integrated development environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio Code for writing and debugging codeExperience with Python or R for data analysis and automation is a plusAn understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling and familiarity with experimental design and A/B testing methodologies are advantageousAn understanding of marketplace dynamics and interest in the key business drivers in a three-sided marketplace to identify growth opportunities and optimize performancePreferred skills:Familiarity in optimizing key metrics like customer lifetime value (CLV), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and paid media performance metrics (return on investment, return on advertising spend) to drive cost-effective marketing strategies and assess the long-term value of customersAn understanding of various customer acquisition channels, including paid media, organic growth, and referral programsA proven ability to analyze partnership revenue models and market trends to optimize markup and commission structures, pricing strategies, effective promotions, and digital merchandising to drive conversions, Favor, Partner sales growth, and customer engagementFamiliarity working with any/all of the following is a plus: Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Braze, Branch, and/or Segment for managing sales data, campaign tracking, omnichannel engagement, mobile attribution, and customer data acquisition, Snowflake and/or similar modern cloud data architecture (e.g. Databricks, Redshift) for data warehousing, including performance tuning, data storage, and retrieval optimizationsWho you are:You are someone with a high dynamic range. Where you’ll work: This is a hybrid role, meaning you’ll work from home roughly three days per week and collaborate with other team members in person at our HQ in Austin, Texas for the remaining work days.
