Summary

 

We are innovating high-performance analog/digital & RF semiconductors, Acoustic Filters and integrating ultra dense System-in-Package (SiP) solutions that will be powering the next communication transformation. Together, we will build the next generation of wireless platforms focused on enabling the Automotive Industry, Cellular Infrastructure, Smart Homes/Smart Cities through IoT, and the new AI/ML genre. The Analog IC Design Co-Op will work closely with a senior engineering mentor to develop new products or evaluate new circuit concepts.  

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities may include:

 

Analog and mixed-signal IC design in CMOS, BiCMOS, bipolar technologies Design or modification of circuit blocks Circuit simulation and verification Lab testing of circuits Analysis of simulation or lab results, comparison with design expectations Presentation of results to other engineers Participation in design reviews Requirements

 

Position is for Winter/Spring 2025, starting in January 2025, duration is approx. 6 months

Candidate must be enrolled in a masters or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or related field for duration of the Intern/Co-op position.

Coursework focusing on analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design, covering topics such as op-amps, current mirrors, semiconductor devices, feedback theory, VLSI.

Proficient with Cadence IC design tools including schematics and ADE simulation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools - Excel, PowerPoint, Word

 

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
