Analog Electronics Hardware Engineer

If you are an energetic electronics hardware engineer who is passionate about ensuring product quality, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  As an Analog Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will work with experienced engineers to help develop new products and execute tasks to sustain existing electronic hardware designs.  These tasks will involve identifying appropriate components, schematic entry, working with global teams on layout updates, designing and conducting component validations, and coordinating with compliance engineers to help make sure designs meet regulatory compliance requirements.  You have experience with electronic components, know how to read schematics, can wire up electrical/electronic assemblies, are familiar with the use of electronic diagnostic equipment, and have great communication skills that you will use to generate well-written technical documentation and reports. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work with other engineers to develop new product designs and sustain existing product production (obsolescence and lower cost redesign and field issue investigation and related redesign).  Identify proper electronic components for analog electronic designs and develop and execute validation tests to qualify designs using these electronic components.      Read, modify, and generate schematics for electronic designs and coordinate with layout engineers to implement changes to schematics. Work with advanced diagnostic and test equipment such as digital multi-meters, electronic loads, power supplies, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes to characterize and validate components of new and existing products in support of product development and sustaining efforts. Generate well-written technical documentation, reports, and communications to support all your hardware development and validation efforts. Coordinate with global engineering teams, external test labs, and sourced product vendors and provide them development and validation support as needed.  Work with electrical engineering technicians to design and construct custom validation fixtures, including mechanical build, electrical wiring, and generating qualification applications. Coordinate with compliance engineers to support EMC, product safety, and environmental compliance.

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in technical field of study such as Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience with reading or generating schematics and electrical system wiring. Experience with electronic component selection for electronic circuit design. Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Previous experience conducting analog hardware design. Previous experience performing hardware characterization testing. Previous experience generating programs for microcontrollers (C language) Previous experience simulating analog designs. 2-5+ years of experience in hardware design or related field. Previous experience with EMC, product safety, and/or environmental standards.
