Position Summary

The Amphitheater Concert Usher assists guests to their assigned/ticketed seat and communicates information regarding the layout of the amphitheater such as: limited mobility access, exits, concessions, merchandise booth, restrooms, etc.  Ushers also ensure that aisles, walkways and seating areas are clean, clear and safe.  Additionally, ushers will partner with Security as needed regarding the reporting of disorderly patrons.  From time to time, ushers may be asked to assist in scanning tickets at the entrance to the venue.

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Has knowledge of assigned area in amphitheater and assists guests with excellent customer service. Shows guest to their ticket assigned seat Provides amphitheater information as requested to guests Identifies and reports unruly guests to security Identifies and reports guests violating venue rules to security. May be asked to verify and scan tickets as patrons enter venue. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

Serves as the initial point of contact for guest inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner.   Reflects a sense of trust, comfort and understanding by demonstrating empathy for guests when problems occur.  Resolves all issues in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and exceeding expectations. Possesses knowledge and understanding of all products and services offered.  Builds relationships with guests based upon respect, and confidence while maintaining a friendly, and approachable demeanor.

 Key Performance Indicators

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

   Education And Experience  

Preferred

High School Diploma or GED certification.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions Required

Work is performed indoors and outdoors.  Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.  Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching. Must be able to climb stairs. Specific required movements include the following: Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity. Able to lift 30+ pounds
