The Quality Technician role is a high-growth opportunity within the advanced manufacturing engineering (AME) department playing a key hands-on role in supporting assembly and scroll machining projects and processes in order to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. The role is an integral part of the implementation and support of new gaging and inspection technologies. This position will interface with the AME-Quality group, as well as employees at all levels across multiples site of the organization and assist with Quality Systems Subject Matter Experts (SME). The technician will be a key point of contact with regards to providing NPD Support and technical support for a wide variety of gaging systems including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's) and other high-precision, high-accuracy gaging systems.
**AS AN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING QUALITY TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:**
+ Gage New Product Development hardware and gather data for analysis across a wide variety of gaging systems
+ Help support and act as a point of contact for proprietary gaging equipment across multiple plants
+ Perform quality systems installations, qualifications, capability studies, and gage R&R's for assembly and machining processes.
+ Perform part inspection system program tweaks utilizing both manual programming methods as well as utilizing 3D CAD models to generate programs in the simulated virtual environment.
+ Participate in the implementation and training of new quality inspection systems
+ Provide training to other technical personnel of inspection systems
+ Assist in a variety of projects that affect continuous improvement
+ Comply with all required safety and regulatory requirements
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ Three (3+) years’ experience in manufacturing or quality environment
+ Ability to simultaneously drive / execute multiple quality systems projects as well as support production needs as needed (up to 15% travel)
+ Strong mechanical aptitude
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to apply creative thinking
+ Must be familiar with technical drawings with a general understanding of GD&T
+ Theoretical and practical understanding of SPC and experience making data driven decisions
+ Proven computer skills including MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint.

**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ Excellent collaboration skills to interact with multiple levels of the organization
+ Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and its methodologies
+ Understanding of machining and assembly processes
+ Experience in PC-DMIS/MODUS CMM Operation
