As a Vice President in the Alternative Investments CFO Team you will be relied on to own the financials of a diverse set of products and strategies, working regularly with the CIOs and their team members to inform, guide and communicate their successes and challenges. In this high-profile position, you'll leverage your exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to implement strategic initiatives, mitigate business risks, and enhance financial performance. This role will require you to be highly collaborative, fast-thinking, creative, critical and solution oriented. You'll need to be able to toggle between strategic planning and practical solutions, between high-level concepts and detailed-driven analysis.
This person will report directly to the Head of Finance for AWM Alternatives and be asked to operate independently as a representative of finance while keeping the team included and aware. Daily interactions will include partnership, apprenticeship and mentorship all with the goal of driving the success of the business, the finance team and it's individual members.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance)Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base, RWA and capital utilization)Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costsAnalyze financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementationPartner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structurePartner with the relevant external service/ infrastructure providersRepresent in respective internal/external working groupsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
