What you will doAs part of the Certification & Compliance Lyon team, you will contribute to the deployment of our sustainable development strategy in various areas: CO2 emissions, circularity and hazardous substances.
You will provide support in analyzing new regulations relating to circularity, recycling or prohibited substances.
You will support our engineers in the environmental assessment of parts in development, using tools developed in-house, and in collaboration with the network of teams working on these subjects.
As regards hazardous substances, you will have access to our materials database for our parts. Based on new regulations, you will carry out data analysis to understand the impact of these new regulations and help engineers identify alternatives.
Your future team
The Certification & Compliance (C&C) Department at Powertrain Engineering is a global team of around 35 professionals with presence in France, Sweden, USA and Brazil. Our mission is to manage powertrain certification and compliance activities to ensure that our products fulfill the applicable product regulatory requirements. This covers as well the targets of Volvo Group towards sustainability. These are key activities to be able to sell our products, minimize risk of non-compliance issues as well as contributing to a better environment!
Certification & Compliance France is a team of about 6 experienced engineers with a background in e.g. engine developments and verification, certification and regulatory compliance.

You have started a Master of Science degree in engineering, in Mechanical or in Material.
Sustainability, ecodesign or Life cycle assessment knowledge would be appreciated.
