Role title: Alliances Finance Operations Lead
Position Summary:
The GDS Ecosystem Markets Finance Lead role will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Global Ecosystem Enablement Team and, specifically, a chief-of-staff role supporting and reporting to the Global Ecosystem Relationships Finance Leader. The GDS Ecosystem Markets Finance Lead will coordinate activity across the Ecosystem finance operating model including overseeing people, processes, and technology. The role will drive transformation and continuous improvement across the operating model through hands-on collaboration across functions, people management, planning, and project management/execution.
Acting as a liaison between EY’s business teams and the GDS R&A and EDS teams, the role will gain in-depth knowledge of EY’s Ecosystem Relationship business processes and ensure that all reporting captures and delivers the intended views and insights in line with business demand, in a timely and accurate manner. Being able to accurately capture business reporting needs and evaluate competency requirements and technical feasibility for delivery, would be a key responsibility. This can include creating business requirement documents, project management and product management responsibilities pre/post development and ensuring the execution of high-priority projects. This position requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage a broad range of responsibilities that facilitate the efficient operation of the Alliances finance reporting team.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Develop subject matter expertise, strategic planning and execution: Deep dive into all Ecosystem Relationship reporting processes Periodic reviews of ad hoc reporting requirements, evaluate and action reports enhancements Work closely with leadership on monitoring progress on key strategic projects and ensure alignment with objectives and timelines Be a trusted business advisor and provide key inputs to support the ER Finance Enablement decision-making.Drive operational efficiency: Maintain the Finance Reporting Service Catalogue and process documentations Work with the R&A Pillar leads to ensure ensuring efficient staff deployment and utilization management Bring together the various GDS ER business workstreams and the RA team, ensure the alignment and integration of efforts, sharing of knowledge and best practices Identify and resolve reporting related issues, implement change requirements or process improvements as needed. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the RA teams and the rest of the ER enablement team and business teams Prepare communications, summaries and status reporting, health check presentations etc. for leadership Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the RA teams (all pillars), organize feedback and brainstorming sessions using design thinking elements, thereby facilitating a seamless environment where everyone can be heard and all ideas are considered and evaluated Project Management: Lead and manage special projects and initiatives as directed by Ecosystem Enablement leadership Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely and successful completion Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that arise Keep track of project costs – both during development and post deployment costs for ongoing support Leadership and Development: Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability Assist in talent acquisition and development strategies to build a high-performing team Identify opportunities for using newer tools and methods, build a continuous learning mindset within the team by encouraging team members to pursue additional relevant learning through badges and certification Manage Stakeholder Relations: Prepare materials and reports for ER Finance leadership meetings Attend meetings with or on behalf of ER Finance, prepare summaries, publish and ensure follow-up on action items Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the RA team contribution to quarterly workshops Develop, maintain and promote positive relationships and engagement with key stakeholders Provide coordination support across Sector, Regions, Areas, and Functions
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders often with competing priorities Use judgement to determine when to escalate issues to Ecosystem Finance leadership or other stakeholders Identify potential risks, articulate, document, and flag the risks to appropriate stakeholders Ability to balance evaluating and supporting new opportunities while supporting multiple ongoing projects

Supervision Responsibilities:
Must be able to lead a large cross-functional team while simultaneously being hands-on delivering work Drive an inclusive, people-first culture that fosters high performance and drives retention of top performers Direct activities of those in other GDS functions who do not report to this role Be comfortable working with and providing guidance to executive-level stakeholders

Postgraduate preferably MBA (Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering)
Experience:
14+ years of experience with a combination of financial reporting, technology development, and stakeholder management. Proven experience working with diverse stakeholders (both internal and external) in a virtual environment, across geographies.Certification Requirements:
