AKA Compliance Manager
Job Description SummaryProvides compliance leadership and strategic advice to the AKA zone within GE HealthCare’s International Region, comprised of Australia, New Zealand, Korea and Asean. We are looking for a dynamic compliance professional who combines hands-on transactional expertise with strategic leadership as the role requires a strong ability to execute on day-to-day compliance tasks while also representing the function within the AKA Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring people leader, committed to developing their team’s capabilities and fostering growth within the compliance function. They must also navigate effectively within a matrixed organization, collaborating seamlessly with the regional and global teams.

Key areas of focus include (i) proactively supporting the business and company compliance initiatives and objectives; (ii) leading the zone compliance team, and collaborating with the business and broader Global Law and Policy colleagues to foster a culture of performance with unyielding integrity; (iii) implementing global compliance policies, procedures and processes, and leading communications and training efforts locally; (iv) conducting risk assessments and mitigation activities; (v) supporting investigations; (vi) evaluating compliance metrics to identify trends and conduct root cause analysis; and (vii) providing early-warning and guidance on the zone’s evolving regulatory and enforcement developments.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Being an active business partner to the zone business and leadership team, continually working to identify strategic opportunities to further a strong compliance culture, identify and reduce enterprise risksLead a team of compliance professionals, which includes coaching and developmentDrive proactive compliance leadership and engagement to ensure that business colleagues are responsible for compliance with policies, processes, controls and other initiativesDrive synergies to maximize the effectiveness of the Compliance teamDevelop metrics and dashboards in coordination with global and regional teams to provide leadership with appropriate indicators of compliance healthProvide training support to the business on GE HealthCare’s Code of Conduct, The Spirit & The Letter, and other global, regional, and business policies and procedures including, without limitation, Indirect Third Parties and interactions with healthcare professionalsWith global compliance team, develop relevant and timely compliance communications and trainings to embed the program in day-to-day activities, and implement business risk assessment initiatives and drive mitigation planWith business leadership, drive real-time and relevant discussions of compliance topics, risks, mitigations and program efforts, and ensure that the zone Compliance Reviews are held with appropriate cadence and relevant contentMonitor internal and external compliance trends, including compliance initiatives, industry compliance failures and applicable, industry specific regulatory requirementsCoordinate with the global compliance team and relevant business owners to support GE HealthCare’s open reporting system, regular monitoring and audits of compliance areas and support driving requisite improvements/resolutions for issues identified, including identification of trends and conducting root cause analysis of issuesIdentify and resolve compliance-related procedural issues and areas of improvement, and ensure remediation actions plans are established, implemented and tracked through to closureAny other responsibilities that may be identified by the Chief Compliance Officer or business from time-to-time

Qualifications/Requirements:

At least 10 years of professional experience in compliance including risk mitigation, investigations, audit, operational and/or other relevant assurance areas in the zone countries, preferably with a multinational company in the healthcare sectorComprehensive understanding of high-risk countries systems, theories and practices relevant to the function, and ability to respond with evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual & qualitative information in complicated or novel situationsProven ability to lead high performing teams across multiple areas and elevate them to the next level, while continuing to be a business partner and lead changeSolid experience in: (a) identifying and resolving compliance issues quickly and effectively; (b) ability to make timely and informed management calls with proven ability to drive operational excellence; and (c) developing and implementing compliance policies, processes and proceduresProven ability to influence different levels of the company and help drive sustainable cultural and organizational changeStrong grasp of codes of conduct, business ethics policies and current compliance practices and relevant industry standardsStrong business acumen, ability to detect emerging compliance and industry trends and develop appropriate responsesStrong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and to influence beliefs and opinions of teams and other peers in the organizationGlobal mindset, able to deal with people from all different backgrounds and culturesDemonstrable verbal and written fluency in English
