Job Description
The contractor will be working on the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team, focusing on rebuilding planes, brackets, skins, doublers, and other structural components. The role involves working on Dash 8 and Q400 aircraft, assembling sheet metal components for sub-assemblies. As projects arise, you will be moved around the facility to meet the evolving needs of the team.
ResponsibilitiesRebuild and repair aircraft structures including planes, brackets, skins, and doublers.Assemble sheet metal components for sub-assemblies on Dash 8 and Q400 aircraft.Perform heavy maintenance tasks as required.Read and interpret aircraft plans and technical documentation.Report any damage and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in aircraft structures.Proficiency in aircraft sheet metal work and riveting.Experience with Q400, CL415, and CL215 aircraft.Knowledge of heavy maintenance procedures.Understanding of human factors in aviation.Experience with fall-arrest systems.Ability to read and interpret aircraft plans and technical documents.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in damage reporting.Certifications in aviation safety and maintenance are a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is located at the Longview facility in Calgary. The work shifts are as follows: 1st shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and 2nd shift: 2 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday to Thursday with a shift premium. There is also an opportunity for overtime. The facility provides a dynamic and collaborative work environment, focused on continuous improvement and excellence in aviation maintenance.
