Job Description

Under the direction of the Quality Engineer, this position is responsible for applying assistance to all phases of or client´s  Aerostructures business. This position will be relied upon to uphold the standards of our quality management system with data/information management, problem solving, continuous improvement, 5S and special projects

Continually improve products and written processes to meet/exceed customer expectations, while determining the effectiveness of approved quality systems.Monitoring and tracking process and product control parameters to validate process reliability and capability. Participating in real-time process management support.Assist with transparency to company metrics, continuous improvement, 5S and management reviews (as needed and during internal audits).Maintaining quality assurance systems, procedures, and equipment to uphold company quality requirements.Assist with determining conformity of the quality system with the published documentation and implementation requirements.Assisting production personnel proactively to resolve product or process issues to ensure defect-free environments. Facilitate complex problem-solving events (8D, QRQC, etc.).Assisting with training to support quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.Performing other duties as assigned.

QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required.An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job.Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum one year of experience with continuous improvement, product functions, and process control tools including: SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and other statistical techniques.Thorough understanding of ISO/AS9100 quality systems standards.The ability to perform dimensional measurement and interpretation of products to required specifications using conventional hand-held measuring equipment.The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances per ASME/ANSI Y 14.5.Advanced experience with MS Office productsWilling to work any shift.
