Aircraft Mechanic I
This aircraft mechanic I electrician/avionic mechanic maintains and troubleshoots MH-47G aircraft, as it pertains to electrical and avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, weapons, and aircraft survivability equipment. **Responsibilities** + This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring, trouble shoot aircraft electrical systems, and replace components as instructed in technical publications, IETMS, and other service guidance publications. + The mechanic will need to be able to use a multi-meter as well as other standard avionic test sets in order to maintain and trouble-shoot aircraft systems. + This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. + This mechanic must be able work independently during travel and while at home station while performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the hangar and on the flight line. + This mechanic must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on electronic systems being utilized by the organization such ACN and Hydra. **Qualifications** + Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license. + Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. + 6+ years' experience in rotary wing aviation. MH-47/MH-6/MH-60 experience desirable. + Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at time for TDY assignments. + Must have own tools/toolbox. + Experience with ACN or other electronic logbook system. + Experience using multi-meters and other applicable tools. + Must be able to be certified in basic soldering and pass a solder vision test. + May be required to pass a basic physical to operate equipment on the flight line and move aircraft. **Job ID** 2025-16819 **Work Type** On-Site **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** Akima Technical Solutions (ATS), an Akima company, is not just another federal technical solutions contractor.
