**Job Title: Interior Technician**
**Job Description**
Working on-site at Boeing, Aircraft Technicians will perform re-work, repairs, and installs/modifications to 787 aircraft. This includes working on various parts of the aircraft such as wings, cockpit, interiors, and primary structures. Responsibilities include removing and reinstalling fasteners, repairing composite panels, replacing and repairing flight controls, and fabricating and installing doublers and triplers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform re-work, repairs, and installs/modifications on 787 aircraft.
+ Work on various parts of the aircraft including wings, cockpit, interiors, and primary structures.
+ Remove and reinstall fasteners.
+ Repair composite panels.
+ Replace and repair flight controls.
+ Fabricate and install doublers and triplers.
+ Perform high precision drilling and reaming of different materials such as composites, aluminum, and titanium.
+ Pull holes, fix mismatch to oversize, and backdrill/match drill parts and details.
+ Remove and install various types of fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
+ Reinstall reworked or replacement parts for subsequent riveting or fastening using common tools.
+ Fabricate and install shim stock to fill gaps between parts.
+ Read work orders, drawings, and specifications for damaged parts or structures to determine rework procedures.
+ Clean, strip, prime, and sand structural surfaces and materials prior to bonding.
+ Implement modifications as per provided work instructions and drawings.
+ Perform composite repairs such as potting, plugging, and surface repairs.
+ Apply various adhesives and sealants.
+ Apply primers and paint.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience working on aircraft interiors, preferably with Boeing 787 aircraft.
+ Experience with decorative finishes including file, sand, paint, decorative laminate, and cosmetic rework.
+ Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.
+ Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
+ High precision drilling and reaming skills.
+ Experience with composite repairs and application of adhesives and sealants.
+ Experience applying primers and paint.
**Work Environment**
Work in a medium-sized team on-site at Boeing. Shifts include 1st shift (6am to 3pm) or 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm) from Monday to Friday. Weekend shifts are Friday/Monday (6am to 3pm) and Saturday/Sunday (7am to 7pm). No tools are needed for this position.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
