It is a chance to “think different” about AI - the Apple way! **Minimum Qualifications** + 4+ years of experience building CV systems using; VLM, diffusion models, multimodal models, etc. + 4+ years of experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow on platforms such as Hugging Face + 3+ years applying machine learning methods to products, features and/or services + Practical experience with all aspects of model life-cycle management, including data curation and collection, pre-training and fine-tuning, model evaluation and experimentation, model deployment and debugging, and post-deployment monitoring and updating. + Publications in research communities such as; NIPS, CVPR, etc. + Excellent algorithm and data structure skills (time and space complexity analysis, optimization, etc.) + Outstanding communication skills with an interest in unraveling sophisticated and nuanced issues + Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics or related fields. **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Skill in efficiently developing new algorithms, data structures, inference approaches, etc. + Enthusiasm for continuing to stay current on state-of-the-art techniques in the research literature + Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills + Experience deploying and optimizing CV models and VLMs for specific contexts + Knowledge of ML model optimization technique beyond quantization + Strong familiarity in another domain of AI/ML outside of CV such as NLP, ASR, robotics, multimodality, reinforcement learning, etc. + Experience in C/C++/Objective-C development is optional, but preferred **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
