We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Lead to join our team. The AI Lead will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for AI within the Business Unit (BU), developing and maintaining AI prototypes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to identify and create AI-driven business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development and experience with AI and project management, with a passion for learning new things hands-on, innovation and collaboration.
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Participate in AI Steering Committee.
Represent the Business Unit (BU) at AI forums at the SBU level.
Communicate periodically with counterparts in other Business Units (BUs).
Trade lessons learned and strive for collaboration and sharing across the SBU.
Coordinate with other Business Units (BUs) to maintain sandbox environments used for prototyping (Azure & AWS).
Maintain the Business Unit (BU) use case repository until an SBU-level repository replaces it.
Prototype Development and Demonstration:
Build prototypes of use cases and adjust them based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure broad applicability across potential clients.
Demo prototypes to clients, helping them see the art of the possible.
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and document initial high-level requirements of the use case.
Develop both the interface and back-end of the prototype (full-stack development).
Leverage expertise from ETP SMEs (AI/ML, AWS, Azure, etc.) when needed.
Utilize other identified resources to progress work on prototypes and spread AI development capabilities.
Develop technical documentation for the prototypes so that they can be leveraged by others (replicated, expanded, etc.).
Project Management:
Estimate timelines and set milestones for each prototype.
Participate in demos of prototypes to clients and update prototypes based on feedback.
Vision and Strategy:
Articulate and drive the vision and strategy for AI for the Business Unit (BU) in collaboration with sector leaders and the BU lead.
Work with sectors to identify, evaluate, and create AI-driven business opportunities.
Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of localized marketing collateral to take to market/BU customers.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience full-stack development.
Ability to work with emerging technologies, learning by trying things out and gaining expertise
Strong project management skills with the ability to estimate timelines and set and meet milestones.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and leverage resources effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of AI-driven business opportunities and market trends.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience with AI development.
Experience in a leadership role within an AI/ML team.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $141,200.00 - $305,800.00.
